Local Non-Profits show support at City Lab’s Community Fair

Amy Winehouse Pleads Guilty

Amy Winehouse arrived at court in London on January 20th.Winehouse pleaded guilty for assualting a Theater manager in December of 2009.According to prosecutors, Winehouse, who admitted to having had five vodka and Cokes before the attack, pulled the Theate manager’s hair and called him a f—–g c–t after he refused to give her more alcohol and suggested that she have a glass of water instead.Fortunately for Winehouse she wasn’t put behind the slammer but instead given a fine and ‘two year conditional discharge’.

Hope for the future of Haiti


The disaster in Port-au-Prince,Haiti left thousands of children abandoned.Prior to the earthquake,Haiti had a substantial amount of orphans and abandoned children living on the streets or in orphanages.Since the disaster many children have been adopted by families all over the world including Europe and Philadelphia.On this past Monday the State Department anounced that they will allow orphans from Haiti to enter the states on a temporary case-by-case basis.

13 year old at MOREHOUSE College


Thirteen year old Stephan Stafford definitely has students turning heads when he walks in the classroom. After his mother recognized his abilities he said ‘goodbye’ to homeschool and ‘hello’ to college. “I’ve never taught a student as young as Stephen, and it’s been amazing,” said computer science professor Sonya Dennis. “He’s motivating other students to do better and makes them want to step up their game.
